Sometime within the last few years, Newark seems to have removed the helipad (the only one it had?) that was west of terminal C.

Edit: disregard.
OK, I just confirmed it. Update your post, OP.
It's going to be September 15 this year. Their web site is down, but the Navy has the info. http://www.navy.mil/navco/airshows/EligibleEvents_07312012.pdf
Oh, yeah, I knew about that, but I meant actual crashes in the city of Newark, not the airport.
A Bonanza slammed into Kent St near Springfield Ave on November 26, 1999. Back then I wasn't into aviation, so my recent discovery of this surprised me quite a bit, as you never hear about plane...
Passur is written in Java, which can be crappy and is pretty much the worst platform you can use to deploy a web application on. It's outdated and clunky. I don't know of any phones that fully...
Interesting ... but why? I can't find any info on the message or whatever that this installation is trying to convey. Or is it just one of those "because ART, man" jobs?
Fix the pics! I have to see this.
Well, I guess I just made that up, then. Oh wait:

It did not have heat tiles and was never space-worthy. I don't really care how much of a contributor to the program it was, I want to get up close to that space-weathered heat shield and thermal...
I will admit that it was the shuttle test bed for the landing part but I'm still a bit disappointed that we won't get to see something with actual heat tiles and has actually been in orbit. There's a...
Personally I'd like to have a real shuttle in NYC instead of that Enterprise glider but it's better than nothing, I guess.
Anyone get video of the participating aircraft landing, specifically the KC-10?
This comment on airliners.net intrigues me
Right on! My first thought when I saw this on yesterday was a gleeful "OMG YES SATURN V!". The most badass propulsion system ever built being resurrected in the modern-age? That's something I can...
You can bring everyone you know and all their gear. It's one of the extremely rare occasions where the PAPD won't haul you off for standing a few feet from an A320 with a 500mm lens in hand. There...
NYT never fails to deliver top tier audio-visual presentations. They're seriously the best at this, and consistently to boot. Glad this was posted.
I'd exchange the Concorde for a real space shuttle, not the Enterprise, which is just a glider.
Screw everything about that. Outlawing scanners...that's insane. I wonder what their radio regulations are in general. Thank FSM that I will never be visiting it anyway (unless prawns land).

Wonder what aircraft they'll have this year.
For anyone who's new to the event, here are...
Video's been removing. Found a mirror:

I don't see anything special about the audio. Sounds just like every other video.
Just listen to the ATC archives on liveatc.net.
