Hmm, that would mean the pilot would get wet on a rainy takoff/landing :)
All the stuff about squeezing in, getting crushed, falling legs... If they survived any of that, they would certainly...
Maybe it's not too late. There space down the middle for a 1500 foot runway :)
I witnessed a Mustang crash myself. Could these vintage a/c just be too old to be safe?
Doing tech writing (communications, some ATC).
I now changed my signature from "Cleared to land RW 14", since I can't see it any more. But there's always live ATC.
First of all, congrats to Mel (other "job" thread).
I started a new job a couple of weeks ago. It's not bad, but I miss my old location with a 9th floor view (approximately tower height) of RW32...
Wow, I like that. Very professional, and no comentary needed. The images say it all.
Still not very long. It's like having 744's land at LGA.
All good points. Sounds like it's time for an editorial.
Yes, I saw the other thread. Just rubbing it in :)
It was a technological marvel and ahead of its time. It was good while it lasted, but I don't think it should be revived. While I'd love to see it again, flying it now for nostalgic reasons would be...
Some airlines, like AC, have a fleet page on their web site with a comparison of their aircraft.

What! It's just a vertical lift 777 :P
Hmm. Buying from the lowest bidder doesn't necessarily mean buying lower quality.
Maybe the Gov's Nikon contract was what propelled Nikon to greater camera sales growth than Canon last year
Wow.
I was afraid to click on this topic because the title had me wondering if a trillion pixel image would download. :P
Aha! The battle of the straightening techniques. I find it easiest to use the Straighten tool in Capture NX, and just draw a line along a horizontal (or yes, vertical) object... like the list post...
Nice.
I'm curious about:
What camera
app and shutter speed
how you hand held that with a TC
Assuming what is meant is that the a/c is french owned/operated. The de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter is a Canadian-made workhorse.
RIP
I hear the upgraded sensor in the "x" is really good. Plus you get 10MP, a large viewer, and a compact size! You might miss the LCD display on top though.

Let's say this was true. I'm not an expert, but what difference would it make if the RW11 landing was aborted? Even if it landed, the timing would still put in on a collision course with the 22...
I was thinking the same thing, and look what happened to that airline.
Whoever designed that must have gotten the idea by accidentally leaning on the shift and period keys of their keyboard. :P
Both nice shots. Now if you superimposed them you may end up with an amazing pic.
Any details on this?
Yieks, do we really buy that much oil?
Canada has had its share of school shootings unfortunately: Ecole Polytechnique, Dawson College, Taber Alberta. But the overall rate is low because people don't walk around armed.
Regarding the...
While this number of murders at 15% is 3 times the representation of illegal aliens in the general population, i.e. it is highly disproportionate, I'm afraid it still means 85% of all murders in the...
