It is an E.V.S.(Enhanced Vision System), used for shooting CAT III instrument approaches and other challenging approaches. It works in combination with a HUD(Heads Up Display.)
LAS is VERY dead right now. You have to shoot before 9am or after 5pm, or you can see the results. Horrible sun. The late afternoon(after 5pm) stuff turns out fairly nice though.
