I wouldn't be surprised, Gerard. May make for some interesting spotting.
It looks like the AAM's C-47 is out and about today.
Hey, I live near KFRG. I wish I knew about this...
Very nice pictures by the way, and hey... a Dauphin.
If you are around FRG the next week or so, you may see the red Waco biplane out and about. They installed the new engine, and today got everything tuned up and running smoothly. They have to put a number of hours (25, I think) droning around before they can carry passengers, so Jim will probably be out making orbits over the airport.
GOOD NEWS!
Good news indeed! She's just too gorgeous to be sitting around!
Its a mix of just happening to be there when something comes in/leaves/practices and being on this forum where "inside" info on future notable arrivals is published. I'm less than 20 away from FRG and if I have the time I'll cruise over to see what is going on. One never does know.
Also the AAM many times gives flight info on their Facebook page!!
Looks like there was a lot of T-6 action at FRG today.
I saw what appeared to be Dazzlin' Deb in the distance. I also saw another T-6 fly over my house with a red/white paint scheme that I don't recall ever seeing before.
Yes, Paul had Deb out today for a flight. They also were flying Truman, one of the museum's T-6s for pilot proficiency.

One of those private charter jets just flew over my house and it sounded like a screaming RC plane. Engines didn't sound good at all. Let me tell you, it was LOUD. Loud enough that everyone on the block popped their head out wondering what it was. Hope it landed safely.
Edit: Well, guess it landed safely. I wonder if anyone who works at one of the hangers knows what was up with that jet's engines.
I see the Waco is up and she is as beautiful as ever!!!
Not very notable as it's just a G450, however...it does have some interesting nose art on it. Rather rare for a Gulfstream...apologies in advance if anyone is offended.

And the warnings around that AOA sensor seem oddly appropriate as well!
There was some semi-interesting stuff going on at FRG today. Sorry about the crappy heat hazed quality of the photographs.
When I pulled up I saw N35WM next to the AWOS and a black van next to the plane with men coming out of it:

It appeared that they were doing some mechanical work on it:

After a couple of minutes everyone cleared out:

They started her engines up and taxied back over by Sheltair:

Besides that, not a whole lot of action over by FRG today. Got this guy doing some go arounds:

Who were the flight of 2 Warbirds that blasted over my house around 5:55PM heading to the North? They were flying low and need to be reported as I almost tripped over my dogs running out the door to check them out!! LMAO!!! It was one of the big boys and a fighter!! Got a quick glimpse as they headed out!!

Gerard, the Geneseo Air Show is this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from their web site, the AAM is sending their P-40 and P-47. I know they were planning to send the C-47 down to NJ for its annual inspection today, maybe you saw some of those departures.
The C-47 and P-40 departed around that time Gerard. I did not see the P-47 leave, but then again, I was working.
Thanks guys!! It was a pretty cool though quick moment. I knew right away "warbirds" and they sounded nice and loud as they came over my house
Just a heads-up for next week starting Tuesday (through Sunday) as the Barclays PGA Tournament comes to Bethpage Black with Tiger and Rory McIIroy competing. Could be some nice private/biz jets at FRG during that time period!!
Expect them to start arriving on Monday. Should be a busy week!
Hey guys. I heard that we may get an E-2 sometime next week, most likely Wednesday.
With the Barclay's PGA stop in town, FRG has been a little busier than normal with the bizjets. Here are a few from today, along with two military visitors as well, no E-2 though :(

Anything else of the E-2?
Just had a PA anouncement at NGC that VAW-125 is 30-40 mins out from Bethpage flyover
Thanks for the info. Out at KFRG Trying to figure out what runway
10 Mins to Bethpage
Used call sign Tiger One. Made one pass over the cemetery and then a pass and left break over the airport and landed on 14. Parked behind Sheltaire
Any idea yet how long it will be here for?
Sounds like it's a Hawkeye from VAW-125 "Tiger Tails".
Fred , since it was "Tiger One", was it VAW-125's CAG Bird by chance ?
Fred, it was nice talking with you again. Here are a few images from it's arrival:

Thanks for posting them and confirming it's from VAW-125.
BTW, Did you find out when it's departing ?
