V-22 Osprey in to KTEB today, possible for fleet week?
Trump's 757 just filed an LGA-ISP flight plan: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N...800Z/KLGA/KISP
Depart 2pm
Arrive 223pm
Not sure if this is news but, XL A330 F-GRSQ is inbound to JFK. Should be there shortly.
EWR today had a Royaljet-looking BBJ and one of the Saudi medical G-Vs.
EWR Sunday, the 17th - 727 N30MP (on Kalitta ramp, unk if shootable), Continental Ecoskies, VP-BKS still there, the Royaljet gone, Saudi Med gone, Lady Penelope on the VS1/2, and some foreign regged Challenger on the Kalitta/CO mx ramp, but I couldn't get up there to read it.
On the heels of the recent visit to FRG, another Provincial Dash-8 is showing YQB-EWR-YUL this afternoon.
EWR Sunday 7/24 - VP-BKS *still* there; 762 N767MW, 752 N801DM, Saudi Gs HZ-103 and HZ-AFV, Legacy OK-KKG. Aside from the CO *As, AZ/Skyteam EI-DBP was the only special noted. Up at the North Area was DL 763 N1602 which departed last night for AMS and wound up making a circuit of Morris County before returning back to EWR about 10 minutes later. Anyone know what happened?
[UPDATE: DL lost an engine on climbout http://www.avherald.com/h?article=440348dc&opt=0 ]
A NASA T-38 arrived at ISP around 6:30 tonight from Richmond. Nothing on FlightAware yet about a departure time.
Noticed Trump's 757 parked at EWR today along with 2 special Jet Blue schemes (yahoo + blackberry and Real St. Lake City).
He flew out of SAN last night - was scheduled into LGA, around 10:30pm, but got off late, and diverted into EWR, since they got in after Midnight.
If anyone is near SWF you may want to keep an eye on this flight:

10:08 AM. I was just about to pull into my office parking lot when above me appeared a Coast Guard Chopper inbound to FRG.
It was a tight angle and I was driving but lookedd like CG to me. Ruby red.
Enjoy Chopperheads. I like CG choppers.
Looks like the National Cargo 747-400F is back again today at SWF doing some rotation flights back and forth between RME and SWF. Must be some testing before delivery.

FlightAware is showing an Aeroflot Il-62 enroute to JFK, arriving at 8:30pm.

Confirmed - a Russian IL-62 (Moose thanks of the heads up).
Meet up with Manny and shot in the darkness again!
Given the conditions this is the best that I could do. Not the sharpest (lots of noise that had to get cleaned up), but it will have to do.

You and Manny sure spend a lot of time in the dark together
Oh, and great catch!
Thanks to a heads up from Mark with a tip from Moose, I was out at JFK at an unlikely hour to satisfy the addiction
Here is another look at her taxiing on Alpha to RWY 4L for departure to Andrews AFB under the call "Aeroflot 9007"
ISO 6400 @ f/2.8 and heavy noise reduction!

Tonemapped HDR image. That darn floodlight was pointed straight at me, not to mention other sources of strong light that conspired on the massive amount of flare and ghosting
3 images stacked, ISO 200 @ f/8 from 1s to 4s.

Mark and I caught the new Lufthansa c/s today at JFK...

Mark will post the in-air shots...
BTW, I am here in Philly. Got a room at the Marriott PHL, OMG, this is a spotters dream. My room has a view of the airport and I am about 500 yards away from the nearest rwy! amazing...
Not at all.. I do notice it... but hey, for the fun of watcing operations, veruy very cool for ops watching. And who knows, Antonov 225 may come in
Now, I am NOT here to spot.. .trust me, my wife is here with me, so I can guarantee I would win the lottery before I spot. With that said, I will try a few shots from my double pane, double glazed, double dirty, double uncoated/reflective windows. Thirdly against me, the only light I can get is while I am still in the room in the morning, which means Sun-in-yer-face ... Cuban Style ROTFL.
Night ops are not bad, they are non stop. The hotel is about in-line with the first high speed exit. I did not bring my laptop charger AGGHHRR!!! so I have about 10 minutes left on that. A little more on iPad so I will use that in a bit.. no pictures to download
Kalitta 722 Horse Hauler is due into FRG around 1500L today, for a short turn and departure about an hour later...

Hawaiian A330 in MSP for Delta MTX work.
FlightAware showing Kuwaiti A320 arrived four hours ago at KSWF.
E190 PT-TLS showing planned into EWR at 1524L.
[EDIT: Looks like this is the delivery flight to the eventual customer in the UAE. Came up from Brazil in early October, went to the NBAA in Vegas, then to the completion center in Nashville, and now overseas]
KEWR was on a split approach config using 22R exclusively (22L was closed) for inbound RNAV aproaches and then splitting some traffic around Teterboro for RWY 29. Of course with my luck, they would put PT-TLS on 29  and to add insult to injury, she was late. Add to that, I was early, which guarantees an even later arrival. Sure enough, she arrived around 4:50pm way after sun went down!
So here is a blurry (motion blur) shot of PT-TLS... note the different tail scheme
http://pictures.mannyphoto.com/photo...-XzMLjmv-L.jpg
BTW, this was a suicide shot from the side of the NJ Tpke / I-95 shoulder... I barely made it. Hence the clipped tail. It is the only good shot I got out of the 5 or so I was able to fit her in the clear without a pole or fence in the way :(
Ask Senga about shooting from the Turnpike shoulder :) I was able to get up to Newark today to put -TLS in the book. Also noted an AC Jetz 320, the Kalitta/DHL 744 (740CK), a SK 340 (-KBC), the Jazz Star Alliance CRJ, and Jet was in with a 773 instead of the usual 330.
Well, I need to know how to get shots of them on the ground ... as I am sucking at that at EWR... try as I may, I can't seem to find a gap anywhere  Do you know when PT-TLS leaves?
Anything parked at Signature at EWR is pretty much a no-go as far as shooting. Really the only place were you can maybe shoot something parked is something parked on the NW corner, where the road curves south.
If I'm reading Flightaware correctly, EWR currently has the Kingfisher G-II and 727 on the deck along with a pair of Jet2 757s (G-LSAB and LSAC, by acars). Looks like UK shopping season came early this year.
Saudia 747SP is due into JFK this afternoon between 4:00pm-5:00pm. Hopefully it shows up while there is still light.
There may have been light but ABOVE the clouds :-( what a nasty day ...
