Crazy month in the skies! October is the BEST spotting month, seriously.
So Obama was in town again this week, will have ot post some pics of the choppers at Prospect Park.
Just saw the Air France bellowing overhead yesterday. What a stubby pig! Reminds me of hte 747 SP from afar!
I swear this is the BEST friggin month for spotting, crisp air and sparse clouds for a perfect background! But too bad Im a bit far removed from it right now. Been doing my fair share of spotting but no photos being taken. Just taking it all in.
Im packing to move in a week. So its been a bit busy here.
But thought all the packing, that av bug keeps biting me! Found some old AA books and stuff, an AA retirement watch, etc.
Looking forward to setting up our Concorde seats in the new house. Came across some Boeing and B787 stuff as well as Pan AM stuff while shuffling items in the house. Got this neat A340 model that will likely receive prime space at the new house.
Oh, gosh, and speaking of how CRAZY the av bug is, its followed me into the office. Saw a crazy eye injury this week where a kid took a soccer to the eye. THe scracthed cornea was something I'd seen millions of times. But the amazing aspect of the injury was that he was bleeding INSIDE the eyeball, within the anterior chamber of the eye, just in front of the pupil. The blood looks like 3 discreet red CONTRAILS in floating in midspace of the eye. The contrails followed exactly the pattern of the corneal scratches. It was serious at the time so I was more focused on the problem. I treated the patient and by next morning, the blood had cleared completely. RED CONTRAILS in the eye! Lordy, I need to get out spotting soon!!
Oh and that FDNY JetBlue plane? WOW!!!!! My first thought was HOLY COW, its BRANIFF!!!!
I swear, with Oktoberfest in Sept and the weather in October, its the best time of year!
