Travolta's 707 (N707JT) should be departing any minute now now for IAD. Arrival shots to come shortly (hopefully). :D

Delta airlines to pull SWF service March 1, 2009. Just found out today.
Continental to begin service April 1, 2009 to Las Vegas, Houston, and Orlando.

Interesting route choices by Continental. I don't see any of them working unfortunately.
I had a feeling it was a matter of time after AirTran left that Delta would do the same.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.Quote:

Delta Airlines has in fact discontinued reservations between Atlanta and Newburgh, NY. Delta Airlines Subsidiary Northwest Airlink will continue to operate daily service between Newburgh, NY and Detroit.Quote:

Maybe if Mesaba comes, we will get flights to Minneapolis, which woul be great.
Wow... That only leaves US Airways Express and Jet Blue!
Hopefully Continental will have some success at the airport and this leaves plenty of room for Jet Blue to expand if they feel it will be profitable.
I have seen no indication to confirm ahazzard's news regarding Continental Airlines launching daily SWF service. I will look further, however, into Northwest's alleged pullout.Quote:

There is also no indication according to nwa.com's reservations system and APGDat that they are pulling out of Newburgh anytime soon.
Dear JetBlueAirways Fan,
I shouldnt have to have my news confirmed, nor do I want it to be. I do know that CO is coming in. Gates 3 and 4 are prepped for them. Co will be using 737's for their 3 routes. They are slated to begin in April. I work for one of the airlines there presently and this is what WE know. We have seen Co's ramp crews out there getting everything set. Fresh paint, and raised jetways are evident.
Enjoy the day,
Anthony

Delta has actually rescinded their pull out from SWF. Instead, they will cut back to one daily flight between Newburgh, NY and Atlanta, GA.
