Is this still allowed?

Hey Everyone,
I'll be starting my vacation tonight, I'll be heading out to LAX with the family leaving from JFK. Anyway I'll be flying Virgin America and I was wondering would it be ok if I ask the flight attendant if I go could up to the flight deck after we land with my siblings for some photos?
Do you think a question like this would be well recieved on their end or do you think they might start acting like some 'captain americas'?
