Delta 757-200 (new colors) has landed on runway 31 and taxiied to a stand at the Marine Air Terminal (usually reserved for Shuttle flights).
http://www.NYCAviation.com field reporter Phil Derner, Jr. has seen emergency vehicles surround the aircraft and escort an ambulance to and from the scene.
Additionally, La Guardia may be closed as there have not been any arrivals or departures (CO 737 holding short of 04) for a considerable amount of time.

LGA is not closed but most departures are not moving as LGA is in S.W.A.P. (Severe Weather Avoidance
Program) a common occurrence in the summer months due to Thunderstorms in the northeast. We
should get a nice break from this tomorrow (Wednesday).

I was surprise dot see the 757 at the MAT, and I wonder whether it was a diversion or just a normal LGA flight.
futt... medical emergencies happen more than you would imagine. we have a few each week in my terminal alone. there have been a few serious ones while i was there, including an agent that fell off a moving tug, as well as many minor ones. at least i haven't had a 10-45 yet....
ron, as you saw no break from the swap today (wed) either. i didn't get to punch out until about 0130 after our last 3 departured cxld. ugh... i hate summer!

Because so little does not fly to NYC area airports it would more likely be news if you are at a smaller airport.
Recently a CO 777 diverted to ALB for for fuel. One of the local photographers got some nice shots of it, and
they are on jetphotos. This is what I am referring to as being news !
