Canarsie Approach via the Jersey Shore...

Monday afternoon found us sitting on the beach at Sea Bright, just south of Sandy Hook, and hard by Rumson where the Boss hangs his hat,. Our mission that day was to introduce young Hannah to the beauty,and majesty of the Atlantic , and the funky joys of the Jersey Shore. an impromptu spotting session ensued when I noticed a steady procession of airliners proceeding inbound over Mare Atlantic,making the pivot turn at CAMRN intersection, then heading up the coast before angling for the Canarsie VOR, and the 13L/R visual. A profusion of JetBlu A320s, Delta 757s, a Co 737-500, NW a320, AA A300,757, and a UA 757-200 (pretty blue NC),all made their stately way up the beach before descending out of sight into the haze. A lovely day, and I can't wait to jumpseat in hopefully this August to spot JFK for old times sake,plus visit the old neighborhood (South Ozone Park). This weekend last was to intro the girl to friends and familia. cheers all,and God bless!
