McCain Gets $57K Donation from Low Level Hess Employee
So the day after McCain changed his offshore drilling policy, a bunch of Hess executives and their family members all donated the maximum to the RNC's McCain fund: $28,500 each. Fair enough, this sort of thing happens all the time, no news there.
But it seems there may have been some creative bookkeeping in addition to those donations...a Hess office manager from Flushing, as well as her husband, an Amtrak track foreman, each gave the maximum donation as well!

By no means would I suspect McCain is involved in this kind of stupidity. I think the question here is what clueless dumbass at Hess thought this sort of thing wouldn't arouse some suspicion.
Re: McCain Gets $57K Donation from Low Level Hess Employee
This "maximum donation" thing is bull in general anyway. I know people who give the amount themselves, then give it to friends to give more money for them.
We need some serious campaign finance reform in this country. Matt, ask the person on the other side of your cubicle wall about it. Excellent points about this kinda thing over there.
