its visionary. Look, the 727 didn't have winglets up until a few years ago....
anyway, Denzel does well, Zemekis is involved. Im excited. Looks like it may tap into the reality that pilots may face, the personal issues, after an accident.
ANd yes, I agree, Unstoppable was a good movie.
Man, tough critics... As my mother used to say "It's a Movie" otherwise it's a documentary. Repeat after me: I will go into the theatre with an open mind and enjoy myself.
Reminds me of Jurassic Park and the UNIX based security system... too funny! Still a heck of a movie. Was it based on a true story? You bet! Was it realistic? Not nearly
Ok.....so we all seeing it together?
When I saw the trailer my first thought was 717 with winglets, or even MD90...but I agree that they probably don't want to make it seem like a "real" airliner...
I took my girl to see Prometheus on Sunday and they played the trailer for this. I have to say that it looks amazing on the big screen, CGI and all, what a difference from looking at it on a computer screen

Trailer looks good but...

Denzel stopped the train.
Denzel saved the plane.
Denzel for President 2016!!! :P
Decided last minute to see this,(after having spent these past few days at my parents while we have no power.)
OK, This was a movie very loosely based...dare I say that even) on the MD80 series accident years ago that involved jack screw failures. (Was is Alaskan? IIRC?)
I've always lived a pretty clean lifestyle. However, very early in the film, between the film soundtrack and the roles, I could see it was a flick about addiction.
There's not much in it from the perspective of aviation at all. But a very good movie, some great actors and roles.
