I did this last year, and I'll definitely be doing it again this year. I mean, what self-respecting aviation geek runner could resist a 5k on a runway at JFK?

31L/13R I think. They say it's on JFK's longest runway, and that'd fit the bill.Quote:

Well I don't like running but have a blast and be sure to bend down and kiss the runway. Would love to see a picture of that :)
I'll be there again. I've run the past two years and it's always a lot of fun. (Except in 2006 when it was hailing and there was a 35mph headwind!)
This is the second year in a row that I'm out of town during this...have fun and get some pics for us!
Yes your's truly was there running around the runways...well not the runway run but the active runways. My friend had to work Sat night into Sunday for the run. Here's a couple of shots from the Runway Run. We went up and down the crowd looking for some of you guys but didn't see anyone.

I was there. Unfortunately I had to drop out of the Run about a mile in due to injury. I was taken by Port Authority back to the Finish Line.
It was a lot of fun though and i will be back next year.
I was there this morning. I met up with NYCA's "other Phil" for the bus ride there and back. Tommy, I'm surprised you didn't see me, I was the guy with the NYCAviation.com T-shirt on. All in all it was a good race. I ended up placing second in my age group (30-34) with a time of 22:27. Hope to see more of you guys there next year.
