The A330 belongs to Hi Fly and went to TLV on routine mx at IAI. Problem is that Saudi Arabia does not recognise Israel (not sure if the other way round also) and therefore has no diplomatic relations with them. Saudi therefore said it could not send Inspectors/ GCAA to inspect the aircraft (not that they would anyway??). Saudi immediately cancelled the contract with Hi Fly. Bit of an own goal from Hi Fly.
