Canon just announced new rebates. If you buy a Digital Rebel XSi with a 75-300 USM III lens, you get $100 back. So if you buy an XSi with the kit lens and the 75-300 from B&H, the total cost is $759.95. This is an excellent starter kit if you're looking to get a DSLR...neither lens is spectacular, but they both get the job done.
(The other rebate is $150 back if you buy a 40D and a 70-300 IS. This is a good deal if you were already in the market for both items...)
