Three years since its latest tail design, Barcode, was unveiled, JetBlue's newest design has finally been given a name. The design, which was initially spotted on a plane in Germany undergoing testing, is the ninth regular pattern for JetBlue and the 15th overall including special patterns.

That's a neat design. Apparently the addition of green to the tail comes from the name "Mint" which they are giving to the new premium cabin service on flights between JFK and LAX/SFO starting next summer. It will be interesting to see this one in person.
Cool livery. Thanks for posting. Spotters like us love to see new and unusual liveries. Lately, I haven't seen the JetBlue aircraft with "10s" painted all-over. Was it re-painted or I just keep missing it? Don't forget the NY Jets livery as well which was the only aircraft using green paint up until now.
Don't expect to see that new livery until the Gov't goes back to work. Part of the shutdown included the FAA Registration office. What that means is until it is back open, there are NO aircraft bought and sold in the US.
Things are going to start backing up at Boeing field quickly if this is not resolved soon, as those test registrations Boeing uses, cannot be transferred.
Through an odd quirk in the registration rules, Boeing aircraft built in Washington state are largely immune from these shutdown related issues. Through a combination of Boeing employees in WA being able to self-certify the airframes and the ability to do title transfers by mail with a 90-day grace period, most deliveries can continue. Only the 787s built in SC, where certification is done by the FAA currently, are on hold right now.Quote:
