London-Heathrow 29-09-2017
Hey!
after my short visit of Luton, I moved to Heathrow. I managed to grap a good deal for a superior runway view room at the Renaissance, meaning I didn't need to leave the room to do some photography. From the hotel you have a front row seat of the action on runway 09L-27R. However, not all is good, as you are facing South, which means the view is only suitable at the end of the afternoon. Also lightpoles make for some tricky shooting. Also not helping are the double glazed windows with a sort of orange hue. However, if you shoot in RAW, you can easily change your colors.
So, here's my impression of about two hours spotting.
1. Ethiopian is now using their new A350-900s to Heathrow, which arrive early morning and leave in the evening. Luckily I was able to photograph this one as it was parked across the hotel on the buffer.

2. Everytime when I photograph a PIA B777-300ER, it's this AP-BID :cry:

3. Heathrow is a good place for Dreamliner-spotters, with lots of airlines using the type. Like Avianca.
