F/A 18s over NYC Today?

According to NBC News, there was supposed to be 2 F/A-18 Hornets flying from JFK to the VZ Bridge then over to the Hudson River and finally to the GWB; then back to JFK at 0930 this morning. I heard and saw no aircraft. Does anybody know if it got cancelled or the date was changed? I live in southern Brooklyn and would have heard 2 jet fighters. Were they supposed to do a photo shoot?

I saw a notification relating to that as well....Have not heard anything about it...Did it take place??
