Sikorsky in Ct?
And thanks.
No, I think Fred said somewhere in Texas.
this was what happened as I was told
The helicopter was flying in Nigera and had an issue in NYC where it hit the tail rotor or damaged the tail (not sure). They started to fix it an the more they worked on it, the more they found it needed more attention than anyone expected. There is a sister ship and apparently that is in such bad shape, they decided to use it for parts. So the other one is going to Canada and this one may get fixed in Texas.

That is the story as it was told to me
Did it belong to the deposed king, and was his son using it to get the family fortune out of the country? :DQuote:

When the truck left did they throw a tarp over the aircraft? Not good publicity seeing that cruising on the road.
And I had heard that about some of the US Heli ships. THey were working the oil industry in Nigeria before coming
to the US (helicopters).
Oh and one more question, does D & K do regular maintenance for US Heli?
Thanks all.
No tarp for the trip and I do not know if it was normal for D&K. I can inquireQuote:

What time did they film? And how long were they there?
Thanks.
I was told they showed up at around 3:30pm and I left at about 2 am
330.. i wish 330.. they started showing up around 8am.. and left around 3.. it was the most aggravating day i have had since i have been there.. we just got scoped out for a upcoming movie with angelina jolie which if we do get chosen should be interesting to say the least but ill make sure i have the day/s off wayyy ahead of time
Thats pretty wild considering its about 5 minutes or so of actual screen time.Quote:

I used to work the flight line at Long Beach (CA) Airport and was there for the filming of several movies. It's not a lot of fun. Running around all the film crews with a 10,000 gallon tanker was not fun.
i know the feeling, been there and done that at airshows for the past 5 years. even though our trucks were only 7000 gallon we spent two years of that driving around the statics through the crowd to fuel performers because the organizers refused to give us a straight line from the fuel farm. was better the last three years i did it, but then again there was a lot less work...Quote:

Trump 76 came into Sheltair this morning a little after 11 then headed out about 30 minutes later to the south climbing
to a few thousand feet pretty quickly.
BTW that must have been one heckuva fire last week in that building on Rt 109 opposite Runway 1
Sorry for the lens flare, I pulled over on Rt 109 for a couple of quick shots the next day:Quote:

BTW did the Colorado Rockies plane come in today?
I don't see anything on FlightAware, but the Avalanche (not the Rockies) played the Devils and Rangers before the Islanders, so they may have flown out of one of the other area airports.Quote:

Phoenix Coyotes are playing the Islanders tomorrow at 12. I would think if they are flying in they'd come in tonite what
with the 5 hour difference. Then depart late afternoon tomorrow.
They came in Friday night. N802TJ - Swift Air B734...if I'm not mistaken that was McCain's campaign plane. Same color scheme, but all the McCain decals are now removed. It left around 1:30pm today to Bedford to pickup the Blackhawks after the Bruins game and bring them back to Chicago. It will probably come back tomorrow (Sunday) in the morning, as the Coyotes go to Detroit after they play the Isles.
The Coyotes played Buffalo on Friday night, and according to FlightAware, a MiamiAir 734 arrived from Buffalo just after Midnight, and departed for Boston Saturday afternoon. I would expect another one in on Sunday afternoon to pick them up.
