Also thinking of hitting FLL on Monday the 21st.
How often does this Ramp Tour occur and any other additional info available?
So far every year for a number of years... A lot of people seem to know and not many ever share the details (hint: I had to PRY it out of Cary, AFTER I saw his photos last year )
I signed up to be on the list for next year... if you are lucky, you get in right away... if not, you can be on a standby list in case people drop out.

I believe that's the addy...
Hey....didn't Barney say .... "sharing is caring"! Well, hope for the next opportunity.
Mark, MIA ramp tours were very big few years back. I have not gone in a decade, but we always had Friday slide show and the spotting + ramp tour on the weekend. Lots of spotters from Europe would come for the tour and I believe the first 40 or 50 were allowed on the ramp. Its great to visit 1-2 times but it was a chor to get us all on bus and off bus as we went from spot to spot (around perimeter). Tour lasts about 2-3 hours and while we were allowed to come out, we could not really move around too much away from the bus., and as a result all would have exact same angle/shots. After few times I found it more peaceful to just visit regular spots at MIA as it does have excellent spotting locations.
Sorry, its once a year annual mid-Jan get together. Great way to meet fellow spotters from around the globe.
Hey! You didn't have to pry it from me...in fact, I'm pretty sure I told you you should come along  Although, details are sketchy unless you are a local spotter and know the drill. For instance, NO camera bags allowed on the tour. Whatever you need, you need to hold. No one mentioned this to me last time (and there was no group e-mail/invite/instructions), so I had to scramble to figure out what gear I absolutely needed. And sometimes, you aren't actually allowed onto the ramp. I had to shoot the 707 through the window this year :frown:
Cary, you suck... you took your girlfriend, but didn't take me :( I am jealous...:tongue::tongue::tongue:
