Unfortunately Mother Nature didn't provide any sun, but was able to snag the departure off RWY 13R. Thanks for the heads up gents!

Interesting - London City to JFK - but - I'm wondering - what load did they carry? If it's empty, is that really a test? What were conditions like? Headwinds, etc. can cause all kinds of havoc to plans (as Phil can probably attest to at length). Or - was it just a publicity stunt??

Good question. Technically, they could have been testing oceanic navigation, or doing a proving run to show they are able to do something. Could be ANYTHING, but I am curious.

If it was a publicity stunt, they didn't seek much publicity except for what spotters noticed!

Greetings,
Thanks for posting the heads up Phil, I killed my alerts after it never came back from its last arrival into JFK. They even put London City Airport Logos (LCY) on the back. Nice seeing Mark and Howard (usual suspects)

There's that potential airline who wants to do LCY-JFK with CS100s in an all-business configuration, so this probably had something to do with showing off the range/capability. The onward leg was to Wichita.
