I just saw this on the news and since I am out here I am wondering where the best place is to capture them on camera.

Since its pretty wide open around D-M if you know runways they are using it shouldnt be hard to position yourself nearby!! When my son went to U of A we used to see A-10s and other aircraft actually fly over the campus on final approach!! Good luck.
