A Lufthansa A380 going IAH-Frankfurt diverted to JFK because of a phoned-in bomb threat. They parked the aircraft in a remote area, took everyone off and search every inch of the aircraft.
This happens every now and then, certainly a large, large majority of these end up being nothing, obviously something they must be extra precautionary with, but it's insane how much inconvenience one anonymous phone call can make, especially on an A380. I hope to look into the investigation into the matter to see if they find anything about it.
