Yesterday was sadly supposed to be the final Open House for visiting the TWA Flight Center. The place was jam packed. I thought they were giving-out $100 bills. It was great to see how many folks are interested in historic architecture and aviation but the crowds made the visit not very enjoyable. Did anybody else visit? Second level lounges for some reason were roped-off as well.

Crowds or not we had a blast, I've never been in there before. I knew it would be crowded so I had zero expectation of getting clean shots, I just went for the good time. Why was there no bartender set up in the lounge, would've been great to knock down a couple Manhattans. PLUS there were several ladies in 1960's-era outfits posing for people, that one with the white hair, man she was PERFECT for that place. Only flew Trans World once, out of EWR unfortunately.

Realizing that the 230 people that boarded TWA800 did so through that building was a sobering thought.

And lastly, one of the iconic tubes. No way to get a clean shot, the place was mobbed

It will be interesting to see what the place ends up looking like after the renovation
