Taxi Time to NYC

Need some local experience please!

Taxi time JFK to Manhattan say 0630-0700 Monday - Friday is??
Same for Brooklyn??

Does it make a difference to upper or lower Manhattan??

Is it the same coming back or is that against the traffic flow?

We stay at the Allegria Hotel on Long Island, just trying to work out what the extra journey time is

So wait, are you going into Manhattan from L.I. or JFK?
Will tell you my train passes over Van Wyck every morning around 7:10 and city bound/NB traffic heavy and slow most days!!
One morning early May I had to drive into the city!! Left Plainview around 6:25 and arrived East 84st and Lexington almost two hours later!! No accident just VOLUME!! It was
friggin agony!!

Started on LIE from 135 but quickly hit traffic and switched to the Northern State/GCP. Yeah that should have taken NORMALLY 50 minutes, give a little more for rush hour BUT 2 hours!!??!! People complain about the LIRR but my On Time Performance is pretty dang good plus I can read, listen to music or just close my eyes and chill!! :cool:
