Another article I read in Newsday said they will NOT be doing on scene work. That stays with SCPD/NCPD though I would imagine in the case of a serious/major MCI they would be put into service. The article also wrote that NCPD will be getting some new and "bigger" helicopters next year. Mmm, maybe if they will be transitioning to the Bell 429 like the NYPD has.

Probably a good refueling point for them. I would guess the crews would be based out of Connecticut.

Actually saw them today at FRG. They landed on the Atlantic ramp then were taken into the hangar there!! Not sure if thats their usual home or just sheltering until the latest storm passes by.
