Having just picked up my camera from the repair shop, DTW was next up in my sights, primarily to pick my girlfriend up after returning from a trip, but also to test out the repair and to ensure everything was functioning properly. With great seats for what is likely Jeter's last game in Detroit the next afternoon, I wanted more than a few test chart shots to make sure everything was working well. Though the skies were less than cooperative and the sun often decided to disappear as the planes turned final. Regardless, the mission to test the body out was a success, made better when the horrendous traffic on the freeway resulted in staying for the second "wave" of heavies. The fruits of this "labor" are displayed below. Thanks for looking!

Starting things off with an American Eagle CRJ

Followed closely by one of United's A320s

The first heavy of the day was Delta's CEO decal Triple 7

The most "special" shot of the day was my first catch of a Southwest 737 with Split Scimitar winglets.

The former AirTran 717s seem to be showing up more often, though it remains sad to know the DC-9s are no longer going to be showing up in the normal traffic rotation

The clouds finally broke for a brief period, long enough for two jets to come in under sunny skies
