Nice article!! Helicopters ALSO use the "Lifeguard" designation which helps get them priority travelling through busy ATC areas. And I've heard PD units using the Lifeguard designation like "Nassau 5 lifting on a Lifeguard flight" or even "Lifeguard Suffolk 3 lifting from LZ enroute to Stony Brook".
