Some speedtape, correction, a lil bit of speedbird tape on that thing and she'll be homebound in no time!

Not impressed that first class passengers get off before premium economy during an emergency.

It'll buff right out!

Pep Boys for the plane parts and Home Depot for the building... what's the big deal?

Shocked to see the wing went into the building as far as it had.

WHO put that building there!
"THAT WINGS STILL GOOD LETS GO!!" Slap a little Thust-reversal and problem solved!

I can hear them now
"Been trying to get rid of that building for decades..Thanks BA!"

Nick, I said the same thing. I bet the sound was even more intense than seeing it happen!

What's interesting is that in normal everyday flying, that which happens without a single incident, the slightest crack from an overhead cabin on landing makes most passengers freak out (I love it) so this must have been a screaming frenzy.

All joking aside, imagine a fuel tank rip/rupture and a spark... that could have been very bad!

Someone was too busy doing other things that they missed the continuation of Bravo to the left - there is a very big sign - trust me - a left arrow and a big yellow B. A much smaller M with a straight arrow is on the other side. I have seen that during the day and at night - the signs that is - and - they are very easy to see! Darn - I hope someone wasn't texting and driving!!! :) I bet they must have been going through check lists, etc. to have not seen that. It has happened before (going down Mike instead of Bravo) - but - they have always stopped before the building or had a smaller wingspan to miss it!!

Thank God no major injuries or lost lives.

As noted with OZ 214 incident, first rule is to always "Fly the airplane", all else is secondary.

Also good to see that the wing did not break or the plane did not pivot & struck the building(it must have been taxing at brisk 15-20kts?). With tons of fuel would have been a sure disaster.

On the lighter side, a bit more thrust and they could have cleared the building right thru

Cheers
