They are leased from hi-fly, however, so who knows if they will even be painted

Should be from ILFC, and since they aren't a temporary substitution, they should be painted.

Nice to hear. I was wondering if due to the Rio Summer Olympics in a few years, either Varig or Vasp would re-appear; wouldn't that be something?

Aren't those carriers out of business?

The first A330-200 has been painted - ex Malaysian aircraft. Four will be former MH and four will be former AtlasJet aircraft.

Si, Varig and VASP are defunct but somebody could take-over their names. Remember when the old PanAm, National and Braniff went out-of-business? They magically re-appeared with new logos, new management, new destinations, and even new aircraft so one never knows!

Varig was bought by Gol, so maybe they could do a heritage plane
