That may be a weather radar installation on the Pilatus, not a fuel tank. Single engine, they can't put it in the nose...

Moose is right, that is indeed a weather radar on the PC-12. They're very well designed aircraft and are built like tanks, I'm certain the presence of the radome is perfectly compensated for.

If you mentioned my name, he would have gotten out of his car and started beating me :) Glad you weren't harassed, but I do wonder what the same cop would have done, had he come across a group of 5-6 people :)
