I spent Veteran's Day on the Coney Island Beach, assessing the damage and maybe spotting as well. I saw numerous helicopters overflying the beach all day, mostly NYPD. What was unusual was a trio of what appeared to be Marine helicopters flying westerly. One appeared to be Marine One. Were they doing a dry-run for today's visit of Mr. Obama? They never made another fly-by.
