I took a drive this morning to a bayou near my house to photograph some wild alligators, flying birds, and some landscape shots. Here are a few of my keepers.

I grew up in Cajun country. Gators were just another pest. I used my 24-105 and was about ten feet from the gators.

10 feet is still too close for me for the gator shots!

Damn straight, I'll just stay up here in Yankee country where the worst pest is the sewer rat

great shot of the gator's back, I love how you can really see the leathery texture of it
