I'm not 100% happy with how they came out, but I was trying for new effects this year. The water wasn't as smooth as I had hoped (thanks mother nature) and resulted in reflections that look more like a 70s rocker acid trip, but I made the best of what I had.

I manually focused on the barge earlier in the day and left the camera on the tripod ready to go. The shots of the boat were autofocused and I used a manually triggered remote flash on a long exposure with the self timer.

The foreground acid trips were caused more by the ripples on the surface of the canal than anything else, I had a few shots towards the end (when the wind died down) that did not demonstrate it, but I wasn't a fan of the shells going off or the exposure.
