Intrepid museum organizing a shuttle event at JFK ......

Hi everybody. It seems that the museum is organizing a welcome for the shuttle at JFK the day it arrives and as a member I've been invited and am allowed to bring a guest. I do not know whether we will be on the actual ramp as it comes in or how close we will be allowed to get. This is the email I recieved:

'' The Intrepid cordially invites you and a guest to join us in welcoming Space Shuttle Enterprise to New York City. This historic event will take place at JFK and will be Enterprise's first stop in NYC prior to its arrival at Intrepid this summer. Monday April 23 from 10am to 1pm* subject to change

Due to security restrictions you must RSVP by April 13

My dad unfortunately has to work that day so if anybody is interested in going let me know...

Never mind, I guess I'll be working that day. Unless this one comes in on a long extended final on 22R,
I guess I'll have to catch it NEXT time (I think my odds at that happening were better with the $624 million!):frown:

I'm free that day as I'm retired. Is there a fee? How did you get an invitation? Are you a Intrepid Museum member or a member of the press?
