Just a queston???? Do you do any post processing on your photo's or are they straight out of the camera? Typically, some post processing is usually required, which includes cropping, adjusting exposure, contrast, white balance, noise reduction, sharpening, etc.. By the way, nice catch on the China Eastern (keep any eye out for the China Eastern Sky Team as well).

I typically shoot RAW (NEF for Nikon), and do post processing afterwards.

I clean them up a bit in Lightroom, but just really by using auto contrast/exposure. I also crop them. I haven't really one too in depth in the program yet, but I will soon.
On these, I didn't want to crop an further due to the low light and distance. Are they really that bad?

Most look dark to me and not in focus. It should be noted that heat kills images (it could be heat shimmer, heat coming off a roof or cars, heat from exhausts, etc.). For example when I shoot at Panera and I take a shot of an aircraft on final with my lens pointing to Wendy's, I get useless photo's due to exhaust fans which are emitting heat.

My shots come out fine when I cruelly go out. These today were just particularly bad because of the light. Either way, I wont be able to shoot from here once the trees fill in.

Wait till the weeds at the mounds start to grow, and tree get leaves............you don't want to be up there because of the mosquitos and ticks. Bring bug spray!

Yea, I learned the bugs lesson at the end of last year. A mistake I will not make twice. I'm really trying to get better at this, slowly though.
