United to Launch Flights Between Newark and Bozeman, Montana

Odd city pair, but I'd love to go out there. Sounds like there are subsidies from Bozeman involved. They recently renovated and changed the name of the airport from Bozeman Gallatin Field to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport attract more tourists visiting Yellowstone National Park.

Flights will operate Saturday-only from June 9 through Sept. 1 on 737-500 aircraft.

Depart EWR: 825am
Arrive BZN: 11:07am

Depart BZN: 12:00pm
Arrive EWR: 6:00pm

That's a long stage for a 735 - isn't Bozeman pretty high, too? Wonder if the performance, elevation, and probably some terrain issues will cause some trouble launching the eastbound leg if they have a full load.

Probably beyond the range of the E-145XR....but it's also a stretch for the 735 as well...
Would have probably worked for an E175 or such....
