Al Jazeera reports he is now in Oman on his way to the US and will stay there for several days. I really think he will arrive tomorrow. Hmm, I wonder if they send the SP to IAD for long term parking like they did for the Saudis. That will be sweet.

Since he was technically ousted from power, would he be allowed to use the government plane? I would expect a private jet or similar... but I am hopeful ... Terrible weather for arrival if indeed the SP :-(

UPDATE: A website in Lebanon says he's on a "private Saudi plane." Not clear if that means a chartered Saudi Arabian Airlines plane or something else.

On that note, this Saudi Arabian 777-200 just landed at IAD from JED. Not a normal flight number.

Let's throw another variable into this mess: Saudi Arabian is taking delivery of a new 777 in a couple days, so they could be flying people over for that.

Anyway, it's still possible that this is NOT the plane he's on and he's on some other interesting private jet, but the chances of seeing the SP now seem slim to none.

Last time I saw Senga was during the Lufthansa A380 inaugural flight, maybe it was just a blur (one second he was there and then the next second he was gone). I think he has Harry Potter's invisible cloak.

I tell you, I have the same picture of Martin Air 747, same spot, time, location etc. I never saw him... Last time I saw him was at The Mounds for the German A340 gov't plane during UN Week...! ...and it was a pleasure of course.

Fasil, Nick and I were at Inwood Park for Singapore last week and this old Benz rolls into the lot just before the plane hits finals, guy gets out with "equipment", but instead of coming towards us he steps down into the reeds and pops back up onto the foundation of one of them huge electric transmission towers to get his shots. As soon as Singapore was in he walked back to his car, I said hello without even knowing it was him, but that was a cool stealthy thing he did. That's the way to be in my book...in and out like you own the place and no one asks any questions....

EDIT: This article claims he should arrive by Wednesday... is he coming by cruise ship? That's a long delay in Oman.

Apparently Saleh flew to the US on a UAE 747-400 and then continued to use the same aircraft when traveling within the US, although as far as I'm aware LAX was the only other destination than New York.
