I can probably find out and will shoot everyone a PM. I suggest we keep it there.

Travolta will be starring as John Gotti, Sr. in a movie about the crime family. There is a press conference (http://www.sys-con.com/node/1779203) scheduled Tuesday at the Sheraton in Manhattan to announce it, and Travolta is in town for that. The movie will be filmed primarily in New York, so we may see his 707 around more often.

ETA: Travolta is also taping the TV Land Awards (http://blogs.tvland.com/prime/tv-land-announces-an-all-star-line-up-of-presenters-for-the-2011-tv-land-awards/) show today, at the Javitz Center. It airs next Sunday, April 17.

Does he land at JFK/LGA then reposition to park at ISP or is ISP the original destination? Long way to travel into Manhattan unless of course he's coptering in from ISP.

I landed at LGA in a Tristar as recently as '97- how could a 707 be that much louder?

Lockheed's L-1011 will be from 60 to 70 per cent less annoying around airports than current DC-8/707 type jets and from 20 to 30 per cent less annoying than three-engine 727 aircraft.

It's not so much because of the noise, but he engine-count, which apparently equates to noise in their eyes (or ears). Even though the BAE-146 used to operate there.
