How the heck does that artifact even happen? The surrounding areas don't look in any way distorted, and there is no explanation for how only the wings perfectly disappear. This make me think someone at Google decided to have some fun with Photoshop.

Well it's Bing Maps, not Google, but I agree! totally weird or someone having too much fun!

I saw it elsewhere. Not my find. But lets face it, in the ANA/Singapore example, look at hte shadow both fore and aft the wing. They are taken at different times of day.
