I made a rare visit to LGA yesterday and hung-out at the Central Terminal. Had a nice time although there are no international flights so to speak of. I noticed that most of the UAL aircraft had the older, more attractive navy blue tail. I also got a close-up view of Frontier, AirTran as well as MidWest, which never visit JFK. The Frontier Airbus had a "wolf" tail and I understand that they have many other animal tail logos too. I would have to visit a zillion times to see them all and who knows if the aircraft into LGA are rotated. An airline with many different tail designs was also tried by British Airways several years back and I never saw most of the designs. MidWest has an attractive livery but I understand that they will all be re-painted into Frontier liveries, just as the America West was re-painted into the colorless US Airways liveries.
