View Full Version : Eastern DC-7 N836D Arrives at TEB

The DC-7 arrived at TEB this afternoon from YIP and will start flying tomorrow for I believe $300 for an hour flight.

Looks like she's been burning quite a bit of oil

And leaking it as well, this is maybe 5 minutes after shut down. One of the first things the crew did was put down speedy dry under the engines, now I see why.

Radials don't leak, they mark their territory! :wink:

Great shots and a great aircraft. Ggrowing up an "Eastern kid" I flew in the DC-7B 3 times beginning in 1961 BHM-ATL. The decals are a little off. For instance the circle on the nose containing the red falcon is way too big. But who cares!

I saw the bird running down Long Island towards the east (i think) at about 1000 foot, typically i didnt have my camera as it was raining.
It's made my trip so far as i've not had the chance to get anyway

i must say she looked better in the air, saw her overhead my tower as well as the FAA's at LGA today. simply beautiful!
