Took another trip to North Park I was meeting SAN legend Ryan Pastorino and on the way I stopped at the intersection where the Cessna came down which is very close to where the actual collision occured. I also had to drive past the stop light where I read a post on a blog of an eyewitness who saw the Cessna come all the way down after colliding with PSA 182. The whole layout of the neighboorhood brought everything to mind as I can only imagine the horror everyone involved with that morning went through.

I then arrived at Dwight and Nile which is ground zero for 182. I find it sad there is no markings or memorial whatsoever at the site. I did bring my camera but didn't really take many shots as myself, Dedric Evans (another KSAN spotter) and Ryan spoke of some of the graphic stuff residents of Nile just south of the impact zone were subject to. Here is a shot from a few weeks ago when I visited. The structure behind the iron fence is not original and was built after the crash.

I did get a shot of the street sign, in fact the left part of the frame is where 182 came down. This house was as it was that morning and just barely was missed by the aircraft. The one across the street was destroyed as best estimate is the nose of the aircraft impacted the area of the garage or driveway.

We then traveled to the local library where a tree and plaque were planted in memorial to all involved.

I hear a plaque existed at PSA at Lindberg Field but was taken down after US tooke them over. I also hear the SD air and space Museum has a nice memorial to the crash as well.
