From the AAM website

Naval Aviation’s Centennial Eve on the 4th of July (observed on the 5th)
The year 2010 marks the centennial eve anniversary of America’s Naval Aviation. The American Airpower Museum will celebrate this milestone by flying its Navy Corsair fighter and Navy Avenger torpedo bomber in formation before Grumman retirees whose legacy includes squadrons of Navy aircraft that have defended our nation over the generations.

Any of our informed members know anything more about this?

They are not sure if they are holding the event. It should have been removed from the website and the event was not pushed. The only place that talks about the event is on the website and with the weather in the High 90's as predicted...

On a side note, My good friend Larry from the AAM is in the hospital and that is not helping matters.

Somebody dropped the ball in not removing it from the website, I have never seen this happen at the AAM and being mostly volunteers, I guess it was going to happen.

sorry but I will get any more info as it becomes available.

I'm sorry to hear about Larry, Fred. I've met him before at the AAM and he was a great guy. I hope for a full recovery!

Thanks for the update. Glad nobody is seriously ill.
