Beginning December 1, British Airways will upgauge its LHR-DFW service from the 777-200ER to the 747-400. They did this for about 10 days in January (naturally, the only 10 days in January my work schedule wouldn't allow me to go to the airport and be a geek, dammit) before reverting back to the 777.

Around the same time Korean Air is also going to be switching from their usual 777-200ER to a 747-400. They were the last passenger 747 service at DFW until 2005 or so when they downgauged to a 777. Several weeks ago they had a one time sub to a 777-300. And of course, I was out of town for it.

I think the spotting gods hate me.
