After the Andrews JSOH, I went to Gravelly Point to check out the legendary spot...and they were right! The spot is ideal in every way (lighting, views, angles) except you have to get out there early. I arrived around 10 and the parking lot was 90% filled, there were a LOT of bikers on Sunday so one has to be certain where they spot. There were families having picnic, kids watching planes...etc. It is a perfect Sunday place to wind down.

I love Gravelly Point. Always make it a "point" to stop there when I'm down in the DC area.
