Greetings,
I went up early to SWF to shoot the Euro Atlantic Cargo 767-300 that arrived into SWF at midnight last night. I was very pleased to shoot this aircraft but I was even MORE pleased when I saw the United Arab Emirates 777-200 Dubai Air Wing parked on the ramp at SWF! I have wanted this aircraft since the first time I saw images of it. Out of all the liveries out there the 777 wares THIS one is is my most favorite. Way to go ALN! I guess even the most unlucky of us have to have luck sometime. This one slipped past me.

Euro Atlantic also recently got their cargo 767-300 (CS-TLZ) This was the reason I went to SWF. I think it looks better than the passenger version. Also present was the Spanish Air Force A310 (T.22-2)

You have to love a Queen with a twitter and access to the UAE government aircraft!

Queen Raina is chartering the UAE 777 for her book tour and other various events. She was in Chicago for a few days and flew into New York yesterday.

Wish I could have made it out after work today! Senga, was CS-TLZ parked near the Richmor building, or were all these birds pent up in the back? Looks like the EuroAtlantic left for LFLX already - any ideas on how long T.22-2 or A6-ALN will be around?

GothamSpotter,
The Jordanians are in the process of upgrading their VIP aircraft JY-ABH is no longer used by them. For a while it seems they have been using whatever is around. I do recall when I shot the UAE 747SP a few years back it flew King Abdullah to the States for a meeting with Bush.

They also have flown in a A318 and Gulfstream.

mattyry38,
The EuroAtlantic Cargo 767 was parked on the north ramp (Old ABX/DHL ramp) I didn't expect to see it parked there.
T.22-2 left around 7:00pm local
A6-ALN leaves tomorrow

Matt, the EuroAtlantic was parked by the Fed Ex ramp. T-22, which was here with the Spanish Vice-President, already departed back to JFK/Madrid and the UAE is due to depart at some point tomorrow.

Many thanks to Senga for letting me know about the UAE 777 parked at SWF! I've been trying to get a shot of the plane since July when I missed her on her first revenue flight to LHR. By the time I got to the airport the EuroAtlantic had already departed but oh well, c'est la vie.

Great shots by all! Thanks for the info - we probably won't see such a gathering of visitors like this before UNGA, although one can only hope :borat:

No doubt this 777 is beautiful, but what's being used for sounds like a waste.

This young queen is starting a foundation to help Palestinian education and all sounded great until I read it. Classic case of curb your enthusiasm (if anyone cares what she has to say click on link). Hopefully she won't let her bias carry over into more anti-Israeli indoctrination of Palestinian kids. That's the last thing they need.

Gordon, Senga - Stunning shots.

As for the 777, amazing what a cheatline can do eh?

SWF is having a good few days... and all these flights unrelated.

Presumably, Euro Atlantic was ad hoc cargo (we'll see), Spanish Air Force in NYC for Cinco de Mayo, and, thanks to Gordon, we know the 777 was here for a book tour.

Thanks, Tom. The Spanish A310 was actually here with the Spanish Vice-President on an official state visit to the United Nations and to speak about Spain-United States relations. As for the EuroAtlantic it was here bringing cellular equipment, not exactly sure what kind though.

Thanks,
There are not too many 777s out there with cheat lines anymore so I can appreciate it even more. What a classy looking aircraft. I am glad they kept the original cheat line through the windows and also the white window fame look.
Lots hope NY, NJ keeps of this weeks momentum!

Gordon, thanks for the Correction; Now THAT IS interesting regarding the Spanish A310. Cinco de Mayo is almost a sure thing for the Spanish Air Force in NYC.... however unlikely, I wonder if the A310 being used for UN right now increases our chances ever so slightly for the 707 to be pressed into service to show up in the next few days..

Oh I hope so. I would love to get another 707. Would give me a chance to improve on my ISP shots.
