Just a little heads up for Sat 3-20 at LGA. The Port is planning on closing 13-31 from 0600L to 1400L and winds are forecasted to be WSW so Runway 22 ops are very likely. Since the Airline Collectibles Show is at the Cortyard Marriott which is walking distance from Planeview Park could make for a nice little combo for anyone interested.

Cheers

Went over to Planeview after checking out the show (got some TWA route maps and some Piedmont glassware, plus a couple models) and enjoyed the 22 takeoffs. Around 1:30 or 1:45, Alberto and I spotted a motorcade -- two NYPD cars with flashers, and a black sedan and SUV/Suburban type between them -- headed out toward Five Towers and turning left behind the MAT, so we couldn't see where it was heading. The only bizjet movement after that was maybe 20 minutes later, when N902, a G-IV, took off from 31. Wonder who it was?

They where probably meeting an inbound, because a C-40 in full SAM colors departed 31 around 1555 lcl, missed the reg, so it probably arrived and dropped them off since it departed around 2 hours after you saw the motorcade.

13-31 re-opened a few mins early around 1355L, LGA departed all 4 runways today, 4, 22, 31 and 13 in that order.

Watched a few 22 departures from Planeview after the show before reporting to work at LGA. Though not many camera's visible very nice crowd along the fence at Planeview enjoying the action, always nice to see folks enjoying live commercial aviation !

Cheers
