Watching the Ranger game yesterday and the announcers said that the Rangers heading to the Olympics (5 players and the coach)
were going to catch a 9:45 Cathay Pacific flight to Vancouver from JFK. Since their game ended at 3:30 or so they had plenty of
time. But for two Islanders who were also booked for that flight it was a different story. Their game started at 5PM and ended after 7:30 but it looked like it might go into OT. They blew a 3-1 lead and lost 4-3 but had many attempts to tie it in the final minute. Coach Scott Gordon will assist team USA and "D" man Mark Streit will captain Team Switzerland. They really had to hustle to get to JFK for the flight. I wonder if they had an "escort" (PD?) or got a little TLC from TSA when they arrived?
