After the Islanders game tonite they board a plane at FRG and head to Pittsburgh....where it is also snowing but not as bad as expected here. Last week because of the storm in DC the Pittsburgh Penguins flew from Montreal to EWR
then boarded a bus and drove 5 hours down to DC for their Sunday 12PM game (which they lost in OT).

Thought I heard a jet climbing out around 11:15 as snow falling already. Howie Rose was giving updates
during the game and at one point he heard Pittsburgh (KPIT) was still open.
Nashville on the other hand just had to bus into Manhattan as they play at MSG tomorrow night.

I have never seen my flight tracker's look so empty up there in my life. Tampa seems very limited flight going out today. About 12 Southwest 73's huddled up in the terminal doing nothing at all.

Did a round of shoveling at 9, then at 12:30 and looking out the window now (2:20) it looks like I was
never out there. Its getting real bad now. Time to sit back, fire up the DVR and let it snow!!

I, too, worked from home (in my sweats!) today. Not exactly sure how I will manage to make it to work tomorrow either, but I guess we'll see how well the city does with the roads early in the morning.

We've since gotten at least 6-7 inches...probably more, since the first photo. I went outside to take some photos and had to come back in within about 4 minutes because my camera was getting soaked.

The intersection by our house, around noon today...usually a relatively busy street.

well the weathermen were very close in their predictions. i had just over a foot of snow at home in northern brooklyn. in all i spent about 4 hours shoveling my driveway sidewalks of our 3 houses, making 4 separate trips to get it done.

About 17 inches down here in Philly... We've gotten socked this year, I think the yearly snow total for the city is over 70 inches (a new record).. and... more snow in the forecast for Monday-Tuesday....

Measured only 9 inches in the backyard out here in eastern Suffolk. We had a period of about 4 hours yesterday of freezing rain/sleet which seems to have kept the totals down. Doesn't make it any easier shoveling though, that frozen layer is going to make it awfully heavy.

We had about 12 inches in Syosset. Spent the morning with the neighbor, tag-teaming our driveways with his snowblower, so we were done in a couple of hours. Just heard on the radio that the record high temp for today (Feb. 11) is 65F, set last year!

Here in Long Beach things are melting quite nicely. I was on the boardwalk for a good chunck of the day with no jacket. It was BEAUTIFUL!Funny enough though someone had their boat out fishing this morning when I woke up and looked out my bedroom window. A nice 24 footer was out in the bay with two guys out there.
We got just over a foot in Long Beach but it is all slush already. I figure another day like today and most of it will be gone,

Wish I could say that. Unless we get some really warm temps this snow is going to be here awhile. We got over a foot
also.
BTW I walk out of Penn Station this morning and you wouldnt think it even snowed yesterday.
